From FX’s critically acclaimed Better Things, to ABC’s tentpole How to Get Away with Murder to NBC's ambitious new Ordinary Joe , Michelle is an actor whose work goes beyond on-camera to theater, voice work, and behind the scenes roles as well. She has worked for almost every major network and garnered accolades for her independently-produced endeavors, holding her own opposite powerhouse stars such as Samuel L. Jackson, Viola Davis, and Pamela Adlon. |
Michelle grew up in a hardworking Chinese-Indonesian family in LA’s San Fernando Valley. Theater, piano competitions, and forays into choir influenced her childhood, but her pursuits have never been one-note; always the curious mind, she spent time on the East Coast and in Spain and dabbled in education and psychology before realizing degrees in Theater and Dance and English and diving into an acting career. Michelle speaks a couple languages - verbal and physical. Ask her about all her unusual, movement-loving hobbies. And her DIY tree slice table - she loves that thing. |
